eNC3 - Tax Year 2015 North Carolina Electronic Filing
January 25, 2016

At the end of October 2015 the North Carolina Department of Revenue announced new legislation requiring the electronic filing of W-2 and NC-3 information. A new deadline of January 31 was also established for the filing of this information! Since the announcement we have been closely monitoring the NC DOR news for updated information.

WAMS supports the Web File Upload method.

In this method, you do not need to create an account, user ID or password to submit an electronic file. Instead, you will simply create the state EFW2 (electronic file) from the W-2 screen in WAMS, and then enter your NC-3 Annual Reconciliation information on the web page. Once this is entered, you will select the file that you created from WAMS and then upload it to the DOR web site.

See the eNC3 website for complete information or start filing now by visiting the the Web File Upload Portal.

What if I can't file online?

There is no longer an automatic waiver granted to employers who need to file on paper. Filing on paper or after the deadline will result in fines if the proper waivers are not granted.
